Emergency Services for People Experiencing Homelessness in Los Angeles

The Midnight Mission provides emergency services for people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, including daily meals, showers, clothing, and immediate support on Skid Row. Since 1914, our doors have been open to neighbors in crisis who need a safe place to eat, rest, and begin rebuilding their lives.

For many people, emergency services are the first step out of homelessness. A hot meal, access to our 24/7 Hygiene Center with showers and restrooms, clean clothing, and connections to medical care can restore dignity and stability in a moment of crisis.

Located in the heart of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, The Midnight Mission serves thousands of individuals each year through compassionate, immediate care. These services often become the first connection to recovery programs, housing support, education, and job training that help people move from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

For more than a century, The Midnight Mission has remained a trusted place where people experiencing homelessness can find meals, hygiene services, and pathways to recovery in Los Angeles. Every neighbor who walks through our doors is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and the belief that a better future is possible.
