Every night, more than 14,500 women experience homelessness across Los Angeles County-many without a safe place to sleep. The Midnight Mission’s Women’s Interim Housing Program offers immediate safety, stability, and compassionate support so women can begin healing and take their next steps forward.
Located in the heart of Skid Row, our Women’s Interim Housing Program centers dignity and safety for women in acute need. In recent years, the reality has grown more urgent:
Here, women find a welcoming environment, trauma-informed care, and a clear pathway to longer-term housing and stability.
Our interim housing offers more than a bed-it’s a coordinated hub of care designed to reduce the length and impact of a homelessness episode:
We work closely with the Los Angeles Homeless Continuum of Care’s Coordinated Entry System (CES) to connect women efficiently to permanent housing whenever possible-or to the most appropriate service-enhanced housing as the next step.

The Women’s Interim Housing Program collaborates with premier service providers serving women, including the Downtown Women’s Center, to ensure seamless, comprehensive care.
✨ At our table, safety comes first-and there is always room for one more. Every night of shelter, every meal, and every caring conversation moves a neighbor closer to home.
