A day on the course bringing supporters together to raise critical funds for The Midnight Mission’s programs.
The Midnight Mission’s Easter & Spring Community Celebration brought the spirit of renewal, dignity, and togetherness to Skid Row on April 5, 2026, transforming 6th Street into a joyful gathering place for nearly 2,000 unhoused and near homeless individuals and families. With the support of more than 200 volunteers, guests were welcomed to enjoy a traditional Easter meal served with care, live music, and a sense of belonging in a warm outdoor setting. Made possible through the support and special assistance of Councilmember Ysabel Jurado’s office, along with generous community partners and donors, the celebration extended beyond a meal by offering hygiene kits and access to valuable resources and services. Guests connected with organizations providing healthcare information, vaccines, physical therapy, pet services, clothing, and wellness support. The event also featured the return of musician Mark Mackay for his 10th year, continuing a cherished tradition that helps create moments of joy and connection. Special thanks to partners including the Lon V. Smith Foundation, FiftyFlowers, Elements Pharmacy, Mount St. Mary’s, USC Healthcare Outreach, Project Lux, Underdog Community Project, and G.U.M.P., whose generosity helped make the day possible. Together, the celebration reflected what can happen when a community comes together to create hope, dignity, and a place where every neighbor feels seen and welcomed.
The Midnight Mission’s HomeLight Family Living Mother’s Day Celebration brought together more than 150 mothers, children, supporters, and community partners for an unforgettable afternoon filled with joy, connection, and celebration overlooking the marina. The event honored the strength, resilience, and journeys of mothers rebuilding their lives while creating space for community, hope, and new beginnings. One of the most memorable experiences of the day was the beautiful Bouquet Bar made possible through the extraordinary generosity of FiftyFlowers, with floral support from Inglewood Park Flower Shop. Guests had the opportunity to create custom bouquets, turning each arrangement into a personal expression of strength, beauty, and renewal. The celebration also featured an inspiring message from actress and advocate Holly Robinson Peete, who reminded families that difficult seasons do not define a person’s worth and that one safe place, one open door, and one person willing to believe in someone can help transform a life. That message reflects the heart of HomeLight Family Living, where families find more than shelter and services. They find community, support, and a pathway toward lasting stability. This meaningful day was made possible through the generosity of dedicated sponsors and community partners including East West Bank, Los Angeles Chargers, The RightWay Foundation, Soul Recuperative Care, Stephen Doan, Sarah Johnson, and William Noonan, whose support helped create a day filled with dignity, encouragement, and hope for the families we serve.
