The Courtyard Outreach Program…
a safe place to sleep at night for those who are resistant to the idea of shelters.

Opened on October 5, 2016, The Midnight Mission’s Orange County Courtyard, in partnership with the County of Orange, is an integral resource for individuals experiencing homelessness in Orange County. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, the OC Courtyard holds up to 450 guests in the safe and secure renovated Santa Ana Transit Terminal.

In addition to offering a safe place to sleep and respite from the streets, The OC Courtyard offers amenities such as:

  • 3 Hot Meals per Day
  • Hygiene Facilities
  • Laundry Facilities
  • Storage
  • 24/7 Security
  • Couple’s Lodging
  • Pet Lodging

The Midnight Mission knows that having a place to sleep is only the first step to getting back on your feet. By offering connection to necessary services at The OC Courtyard, we are better able to assist our guests experiencing homelessness on their path to self-sufficiency. In order to tackle homelessness on a more holistic level, The OC Courtyard provides connection to countless resources including, but are not limited to:

  • Employment Search
  • Social Services
  • Health Care
  • Dental Clinic
  • Eye Care
  • Veterans Services
  • Collaborative Courts
  • Legal Services
  • Flu Shots
  • Behavioral Health Services
  • Literacy Classes
  • Haircuts
  • Pet and Veterinary Services

Yes we take up to two dogs per person if we have the space. The dogs must be dog friendly. Cats are also welcome.

Yes, you are allowed to stay in the shelter during the day. However, we encourage residents to look for work and meet with case management to start a housing plan.

We serve 3 meals a day.

We do not have reserved parking and the paid parking in the area is very expensive. For these reasons we don’t suggest bringing a car.

We enforce an 8:30 pm curfew. If you do not return to the shelter before that time you risk losing your bed.
