Opened on October 5, 2016, The Midnight Mission’s Orange County Courtyard, in partnership with the County of Orange, is an integral resource for individuals experiencing homelessness in Orange County. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, the OC Courtyard holds up to 450 guests in the safe and secure renovated Santa Ana Transit Terminal, offering a safe place to sleep for homeless individuals who are resistant to the idea of a traditional shelter.
Our OC Courtyard offers a place where anyone experiencing homelessness can stay for a secure night of sleep, but the Courtyard is much more than that. We offer a variety of amenities so our guests can nourish themselves, recharge, and take respite from the harsh reality of life on the street:
While we are proud to offer a secure bed through our Orange County Courtyard, we understand that a safe place to sleep is only the first step to getting back on your feet – and we intend to help you through the entire process. By offering connection to necessary services at The OC Courtyard, we are better able to assist our guests experiencing homelessness on their path to self-sufficiency. Whether you’re struggling to get vital healthcare or dental care, need help with mental health or substance addiction issues, or you’re struggling to find employment, The Midnight Mission can provide the support you need to change your trajectory and achieve the life you deserve:
Yes, we welcome dogs to the space, so long as they are friendly with other dogs and people. We accept up to two dogs per person if we have the space, and cats are also welcome.
Yes, you are welcome to stay in the Courtyard during the day. That said, we offer connection to a variety of services, and we encourage our guests to look for work or meet with case management to start a housing plan.
Yes. We serve 3 hot meals for each guest, every day.
Unfortunately, we have no reserved parking, and paid parking in the area is very expensive. For these reasons, we don’t recommend bringing a car to the Courtyard.
We enforce an 8:30 pm curfew. If you do not return to the shelter before that time you risk losing your bed.
Our team is always ready to welcome new guests to our community or answer any questions about the services we provide. For more information on our Orange County Courtyard or any other homeless services we provide, please email Donald Holt at email@example.com or call 714-910-0436.
Every day, The Midnight Mission helps hundreds of homeless individuals get the support they need to get back on their feet and make real progress on the road to self-sufficiency – but we can’t do it alone. We are able to create positive impacts in our communities only thanks to the generosity and kindness of our donors and volunteers. If you are interested in joining us in our mission and working to reverse Los Angeles’s unprecedented homelessness crisis, we would be thrilled to speak with you.
