Singer-Songwriter and Record Producer William “Smokey” Robinson, Jr.
Outstanding Volunteer Susie Siverts
This year’s Gala will be a fantastic evening of fun, friends and philanthropy. The Golden Heart Awards Gala jointly honors The Midnight’s longstanding legacy to the city’s neediest individuals and families, as well as those whose contributions embrace the organization’s transformative spirit of giving. This year, we are privileged to honor two champions in our community. The prestigious Golden Heart Award will be given to Singer-Songwriter and Record Producer William “Smokey” Robinson, Jr. and Outstanding Volunteer Susie Siverts. This year’s honorees are being recognized for their significant contributions to understanding and responding to the human tragedy of homelessness, and each embodies The Midnight’s enduring commitment to helping those who are less fortunate.
The Gala will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction. The awards dinner following will include a moving program with testimonies from alumni from The Midnight Mission programs and honorees. There will also be a special musical performance by TMM Alumnus Toby Metz and a musical tribute to Smokey Robinson by former lead singer of The Temptations Louis Price.
The Golden Heart Awards Gala is our most high-profile event and an excellent opportunity for sponsors to build a public partnership with The Midnight Mission. The Gala is attended by business, entertainment and community leaders from throughout our region. Past honorees include Tim Allen, Wallis Annenberg, Joe Bonamassa, Carrie Fisher, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Chuck Lorre, Tom & Dana Petty, Richie Sambora, Dick & Arlene Van Dyke, The Annenberg Foundation, Bank of America, Nestlé USA, Inc., The Staples Center Foundation, and many more.
The Golden Heart Awards Gala is The Midnight Mission’s most high-profile event of the year. Funds raised by the event directly support our life-saving and life-changing program services for homeless and low-income men, women and children. We hope you will join us for this year’s Golden Heart Awards and support us as we continue to fight the homelessness crisis in Southern California.
