Larry Adamson

President & CEO


A native of Southern California, Larry Adamson is the President and Chief Administrative Officer of The Midnight Mission Corporation, one of the premier social service agencies serving the homeless and addictive population of Southern California.  Prior to accepting his current position in May 1998, Larry served for 23 years as Vice President of Administration for the Automobile Club of Southern California.


During his six-year tenure at The Midnight Mission, he has been successful in growing its total asset value of $20 million to over $42 million in 2004.  He has also lead the efforts which secured one of the largest AmeriCorps grants in the nation for outreach services in Los Angeles’ Skid row district.


Larry is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, Larry has attended graduate business studies at UCLA.


He currently serves as a director on several Boards of Directors including The Masonic Homes Board of California where he serves as Chairman of its Finance Committee, and he is Chairman of the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Central Providers Collaborative.  He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of ACSC Federal Credit Union and on the Foundation for CaliforniaStateUniversity, Los Angeles.


For over 10 years, Larry served on the Board of Directors of CSULA Alumni Association and served as its President in 1996.  In 1998 he was honored as the University’s Alumni-of-Merit.  In 1996, he joined the CSU Alumni Council, an organization that represents the Alumni Associations of the 23-Cal State campus system, where he served two terms as its President from1998 to 2000.  In 1998, he was honored as the Council’s “Outstanding Alumni of the Year”.


Larry is active in several community and social organizations.  He is the past President of his Rotary Club and is currently District Chair of Urban Emphasis for the Boy Scouts of America, Los Angeles Area Council.


Larry lives with his wife of 30 years, Lynn, in Newhall, California, and they have two married daughters, Melissa and Diana.
