Our clients come to us lacking many of the basic human needs. Our long-tradition of success informs us that the path to self-suffi ciency starts with providing the basics. That’s why our comprehensive approach begins with our Emergency Services Program. Those services include a hot meal, a safe place to sleep, a shower, basic hygiene items and access to emergency healthcare services.

The need for our emergency services is increasing. The latest LAHSA (Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority) Count reported an increase of 16.3% among those experiencing homelessness since 2011. Over the course of a year, at least 190,207 men, women and children experience homelessness in Los Angeles County (annualized rate)*.

The Midnight’s Courtyard Advocate, Curtis Patterson, “Due to the economy, there has been a rise of homeless mothers with children on Skid Row.“

Specifically designed and open to anyone experiencing homelessness, our Courtyard Outreach Program allows each person to transition from life on the streets to a place of stability, comfort and peace of mind. The courtyard offers a safe, monitored place to stay during the day and sleep at night. Once in the Courtyard Outreach Program, we help each person break the cycle of homelessness by identifying their needs, providing advocacy and creating a bridge to our life-saving services.
