What we're grateful for in 2024

At The Midnight Mission, we’ve had so much to be grateful for over the past year – including friends like YOU! Here are just a few highlights:

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the progress we’ve made and the exciting opportunities ahead. At The Midnight Mission, we’ve been privileged to witness incredible stories of resilience, hope, and transformation, and today, we want to share what we’re most thankful for this year and what we’re eagerly anticipating in the future:
  • You, our incredible community. In 2024, your generosity enabled us to offer a lifeline of support to thousands of people in LA County. From serving hot meals to providing safe shelter, your belief in our mission fueled everything we accomplished. Whether you donated, volunteered, or encouraged us with kind words, you made an immeasurable impact.
  • Providing meals and shelter. In 2024, we served 954,236 meals and provided 365 nights of safe shelter to our neighbors, thanks to the incredible support of our donors and partners like Levi’s, Hollywood Bowl, and Albertsons. LA County General, and Hilton Hotel helped ensure those in need had a warm, comfortable place to rest each night

  • Looking ahead: Launching our new Women’s Recovery Program! Designed for women and run by women, the program is based on the social model of the 12-steps, providing a supportive environment for healing and growth. We’re thrilled to share that this program offers much more than its 30 comfortable beds-it’s a hub for transformation, with on-site resources like legal assistance, family reunification support, and weekly Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Cocaine Anonymous panels. It’s a place where women can rebuild their lives, one step at a time.

  • Looking ahead: With the opening of a new on-site daycare center, our HomeLight Family Living program can now offer participants a safe, loving place for their children to stay while they work. Parents will be able to focus and excel in the workforce without the added stress of coordinating and paying for childcare. And their kids will get help developing their social, emotional and communication skills – a win-win!

  • Looking ahead: Our health clinic to offer telehealth services, which significantly improve access to medical care for people who are experiencing homeless by eliminating the need to travel to appointments.
Thank you to everyone who helps make our critical work possible. We’re excited to see what we accomplish together in 2025!
