Holiday Season Highlights
Happy New Year! The Midnight Mission (TMM) would like to thank our Board of Directors, supporters, donors and volunteers for a successful holiday season.
We kicked off the holiday season with an intimate fire side chat for 35 passionate partners hosted by Director and Mrs. Ali and Anousheh Razi. Guests enjoyed an elegant evening of stimulating conversation and authentic Persian cuisine which culminated in a thought-provoking discussion about the condition of homelessness in Los Angeles(LA) and TMM's approach to addressing it. This year, our Thanksgiving event was extremely celebratory as we served a traditional holiday meal to the homeless and near-homeless men, women and children of LA. The photo below was taken by The LA Times in 1930s of our founder Tom Liddecoat. On that day, TMM served 2,000 homeless guests.

This year with the help of 350 volunteers, we served 3,500 homeless and near- homeless guests. Here is the video we put together for you with a message from volunteers working the event.
On December 5, during our holiday donor party we celebrated the graduation of our largest class in the history of TMM’s Drug and Alcohol Program. 300 donors, volunteers, family and friends attended this event. Another 150 friends, donors, volunteers and alumni attended our delightful Family Housing Christmas party on December 12. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus stopped in for a visit and guests were entertained by a play put on by the children of the program.
Meanwhile, hundreds of volunteers were busy helping staff get ready for Christmas Day. We served a traditional Christmas brunch to over 3,500 guests and gave away 1,500 toys to children that were collected by many individuals and businesses in our community. Watch the news coverage here.
