Commemorating 100 Years of Continuous Service

In 2014, The Midnight Mission, Southern California’s premier social service provider, commemorates its 100-year anniversary. Underscoring The Midnight Mission’s enduring commitment to the homeless community, The Midnight marks its milestone by never missing a day of providing meals and services since 1914.

With an enduring commitment and conviction that defines the Midnight Mission’s ongoing success, the Midnight has successfully evolved alongside the City’s diverse and changing demographics over the last century.

Through life-saving and life-changing programs and initiatives, The Midnight is a resource for revival and renewal for the homeless population on Skid Row, offering a path to self-sufficiency to men, women, and children, who have lost everything. The Midnight takes a holistic approach, offering emergency services, 12-step recovery program, job training, education, and work programs.

Removing obstacles to self-sufficiency, The Midnight provides a compassionate bridge to productive lives, ensuring the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to rejoin their communities.
